Engineered for Safety

Built with guardrails, toe boards, and slip-resistant surfaces to help prevent falls and injuries.

Custom Fit for Any Environment

Each platform is designed to fit your specific space, whether it’s around machinery, tight corners, or elevated workstations.

Built to Last

Made from aluminum or galvanized steel, static platforms are durable, low-maintenance, and ideal for industrial environments.

Climbing ladders or scaffolding increases the chance of accidents, especially when tasks are repeated often. Static platforms offer a safer, more reliable solution by creating a dedicated work area that supports both safety and efficiency.

What are the OSHA standards for elevated platforms?

OSHA regulates elevated platforms as walking-working surfaces under 29 CFR 1910 Subpart D. Fall protection is required at any side or edge 4 feet or more above a lower level (29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)), with guardrail meeting 29 CFR 1910.29(b) (top rail at 42 inches, plus or minus 3 inches, withstanding 200 pounds of outward or downward force) as the standard control. A static work platform is engineered to those criteria once and holds them for the life of the installation, which suits permanent access over equipment, production lines, and recurring maintenance points.

Are elevated platforms considered fall hazards?

Yes. Any elevated surface with an unprotected side or edge 4 feet or more above a lower level is a fall exposure OSHA requires the employer to control (29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)). A static platform resolves the exposure passively: guardrail on every open side makes the platform itself the control, with no harness program needed for routine work on it.

What is the minimum height for fall protection?

Under OSHA’s general industry standard, the minimum is 4 feet above a lower level (29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)); construction work triggers at 6 feet (29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1)). Most static platforms serve permanent facilities, so the 4-foot trigger applies, and a platform at working height over equipment is nearly always past it. Tritech designs, fabricates, and installs static platforms with the guardrail, access stairs, and load path engineered as one structure.
