We identified a need for fall protection at our rail loading and unloading sites. Our design criteria were that it had to provide true fall protection and not just give the employee a false sense of security. We contacted several vendors who visited the sites, but they could not provide a “true” fall protection system, which could span the 600-foot rail siding, which was also on a 3-degree slope.

Tritech Fall Protection Systems, completed the engineering for the fall protection support structure, rail car access, procured all materials, installed the system, and conducted employee training. Hopefully we will never use the system, but we are confident the fall protection system will provide “true” employee fall protection in case of an emergency.
